- Collyer set for loan transfer
- Midfielder wants Man Utd minutes
- His exit could free up transfer move
According to Manchester Evening News journalist, Samuel Luckhurst, متحد are planning for Collyer to leave on loan, and that would pave the way for the club to sign another midfielder. This is despite the 21-year-old making it clear he wants to play for the Red Devils as much as possible.
The former Brighton academy player said, via journalist Laurie Whitwell: “First and foremost, I want to be here (United) and play as many games for United as possible. I’ll sit down with the manager and higher-ups and see what the best solution is for that, to develop, whether it’s stay here or go on loan.”
Collyer is highly rated at United and made 13 appearances for the الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز side last season. But the England Under-20 international arguably needs more regular game time at a lower level to help him progress his career – and a good loan spell can provide that. For the first-team, it remains to be seen if Amorim’s side will be able to sign a new midfielder.
While Collyer seems set to head out on loan, it is not yet certain where the defensive midfielder will head for the upcoming campaign. If he does go, head coach Amorim will hope the Red Devils can add a quality addition in the centre of the park.
