Just over a year on from leaving أستون فيلا for Juventus in a €50 million (£42m/$54m) deal, the midfielder is back in the الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز, this time with Forest. The club say in addition to the season-long loan, there is a ‘conditional obligation’ to buy the البرازيل international next summer.
He told the club’s website: “I am really happy to be here, it’s a big club and I decided to come here because I can see the ambition the club has. I am so excited to start with the team and give my best for the shirt and the fans.”
Luiz joined one of Europe’s biggest clubs last year, along with his then-girlfriend Alisha Lehmann, but a lot has changed since then. The couple is no longer together, Luiz is back in إنجلترا, and the Swiss international has just joined كومو. The 27-year-old – who started just six games for Juve last season in all competitions – is undoubtedly a talented player, and Forest fans will hope he can bring his A-game this season as he bids to reignite his career.
