- Terry hails Modric
- Midfielder set to join Milan
- Labelled ‘one of the best players in the world’
Terry was stopped at an Italian airport as he prepared to fly home from a party in the country, having linked up with fellow former الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز players Bobby Zamora and Steve Sidwell. On his way into the building, journalists stopped the ex-Chelsea captain to get his take on Modric’s move to Milan.

The Croatia international has already said his goodbyes to Madrid after a trophy-laden 13 years at the Bernabeu in which he won the Champions League a staggering six times. He also won La Liga on four occasions, and Terry says the former Tottenham midfielder is one of the “best players in the world, ever”.
Terry told the gaggle of journalists: “He’s one of the best in the world, he still has many, many years to play I’m sure.
“(He’s a) fantastic person, like I said, one of the best players in the world, ever. Great for Milan for him to sign.”
Asked what Modric would bring to Milan, Terry replied: “I think the experience he has in world football, obviously a big name coming into a fantastic club, one of my favourite clubs in Italy. So yeah, he’s just a world class player that can bring a little bit of experience as well, maybe at a time when Milan need it.”u0026nbsp;

Terry is heading back to England while Modric is on his way to Italy, with the latter set to receive a hero’s welcome upon his landing.
