Rodrygo will stay back at Real Madrid after winning manager Xabi Alonso's trust. The Brazilian winger was linked with a move to the Premier League throughout the summer, with Manchester City and Liverpool keen on signing him, however, after featuring in Madrid's starting lineup last week, he is satisfied with his role and has decided against exiting Santiago Bernabeu.

Rodrygo was strongly linked with a move away from in the summer transfer window after he fell out of favour under new boss Xabi Alonso. The Brazilian hardly featured at the Club in the US and was then left out on the bench in the club’s La Liga season opener against , which further fuelled speculation that he could leave Los Blancos.

At one point, it seemed that Rodrygo could head to the Premier League, with giants like و keen to add the attacker to their rosters.
