Per journalist Philipp Hinze, Simons is continuing to train with Leipzig ahead of pre-season. Chelsea are interested in signing the Netherlands international this summer and have reportedly agreed personal terms ahead of a potential €70 million (£61m/$82m) deal. Bayern Munich are also reportedly monitoring developments.
Leipzig have yet to receive a formal bid for the 22-year-old and, as a result, he is continuing to train, and is available to play for the club in pre-season. The الدوري الألماني club are continuing to demand a €70m fee and are not minded to reduce that asking price.
Simons is said to be keen on the idea of moving to the الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز this summer, after enjoying a strong 2024/25 campaign; the Dutchman scored 11 goals and registered eight assists in 33 games in all competitions.
Leipzig play Toulouse in a pre-season friendly this weekend. Simons could well be involved.
