- Global game littered with famous investors
- Ronaldo fanatic Speed could get involved
- Wants fellow streamer to be by his side
IShowSpeed recently attended the 2025 MLS All-Star game, which saw the top performers in the متحد States face off against a select XI from Mexico‘s Liga MX. He was, as expected, a lively presence in Texas.
Known for being a Cristiano Ronaldo fanatic, Speed put his skills to the test during the All-Star break – but was unable to see Lionel Messi in action as the Inter Miami icon withdrew, alongside club colleague Jordi Alba, from the event.
Speed said of idolising Portuguese GOAT CR7, who he has crossed paths with at times: “You know, when I was a young kid, man, you know, I looked up to Ronaldo, I watched Ronaldo all the time…Ronaldo is the GOAT, and that is who I look up to.”
That passion for soccer could see Speed explore a route into club investment or ownership, as he told Front Office Sports when asked who he would like to team up with for that adventure: “MrBeast! Me and MrBeast can invest in one of these MLS teams in 50 years from now. No, not even 50 years from now, 20 years from now! We would be pretty set.”
@ishowspeed says he’d buy an MLS Club with MrBeast ⚽️ ️#MLSallstar
Plenty of famous faces are already involved in ownership groups, with مانشستر يونايتد legend David Beckham working with Messi in South Florida. The likes of Ryan Reynolds, Tom Brady, Will Ferrell and JJ Watt are all tied to English football, while there has been talk of Ronaldo buying a team when the day comes for him to head into retirement.
