- Blues monitoring Garnacho’s situation
- Wants United exit
- Red Devils want £50 million ($67m)
Per The Guardian Chelsea are interested in signing Garnacho from United this summer as they reshape their attack. They have already signed Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro, and Liam Delap, and are monitoring the Argentine’s situation, as he has played no part in the Red Devils’ pre-season preparations.
United want £50m ($67m) for Garnacho but Chelsea are hopeful that price will drop. He is said to be interested in a potential move to Stamford Bridge, and Ruben Amorim is keen to move him on after landing Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha this summer.
Garnacho could be joined at Stamford Bridge by Xavi Simons, with the Blues attempting to negotiate a deal to extricate him from RB Leipzig. Chelsea have also confirmed the signing of Jorrel Hato from Ajax in a wild summer spree that is set to see them spend well over £300 million ($400m).
Chelsea face Bayer Leverkusen on Friday in their first pre-season friendly before playing AC Milan on Sunday. They will then kick off their Premier League campaign against Crystal Palace.
