Darwin Nunez is set to join Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia after the club reached an agreement to sign the striker for €53 million (£46m/$62m) from Liverpool.

Per Fabrizio Romano Hilal have reached an agreement to sign Nunez from as the Reds continue their hunt to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle. The club are said to be eyeing a British-record deal worth in excess of £150m ($200m), and they are looking to fund that pursuit by shifting the Uruguay striker.

Nunez joined the Reds in a deal worth £57m ($76m) in 2022 and the club are poised to essentially get their money back. The former striker struggled immensely at Anfield, scoring just 40 goals in 143 games in all competitions. In the , he netted 25 goals in 95 games.

Nunez is poised to sign a three-year contract in Saudi Arabia as Liverpool continue their Isak pursuit. They have had a bid rejected for the international and reports suggest that they are considering a swoop to sign Bradley Barcola from as a potential alternative.

Liverpool play in the at Wembley this weekend. Nunez is likely to complete his move to the beforehand.
