Dele signed an 18-month deal with Como in January after leaving Everton, but is now expected to depart with a year left on his contract as per The Athletic. His only appearance for I Lariani came in March against AC Milan, where he was sent off 10 minutes after coming on. He hasn’t featured in any of Como’s pre-season matches.
Dele’s career has stalled since his peak years at Tottenham, as he has had short stints at Everton and Besiktas, struggling with form, fitness, and injuries. Despite his recent setbacks and certain reports hinting towards the 29-year-old potentially retiring, the midfielder is determined to continue playing.
Once considered one of England‘s brightest talents, Dele won the PFA Young Player of the Year twice. He was a key figure in Spurs’ 2016-17 Premier League title charge and their 2019 Champions League final run.
