After being left out of the weekend’s game against in La Liga, Mastantuono was handed a start on the European stage on Tuesday. He became the third-youngest foreign player to debut for earlier this season against and followed that up by becoming the youngest player to start for the club in a game, breaking a record set by . The teenage-sensation played 63 minutes in the game as Madrid overturned Timothy Weah’s opener with two Kylian Mbappe penalties.
