Patel appeared in front of the hearing over the administration’s handling of Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, among other matters. And he did it sporting a red and white tie with Liverpool‘s crest in the middle of it.
Back in late April, Patel tweeted his support for Arne Slot’s side as they were crowned Premier League champions. He has also been photographed on two other occasions wearing another Reds tie, once when visiting lawmakers on Capitol Hill last December and then again in early April.
The Liverpool tie that Patel wore at the US Senate hearing has thin stripes and a more prominent logo, known as the ‘Heritage Tie’, which is selling in the club’s shop for £15. Previously, he has worn ties with thicker stripes.
Patel may have an eye on the Premier League giants when they host Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night. Liverpool return to Premier League action on Saturday when they host Everton in the Merseyside derby.
