FBI director Kash Patel appeared at a United States Senate judiciary committee wearing a tie featuring the logo of Liverpool. The former acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, who is a loyalist to President Donald Trump, has previously hinted that he supports the Premier League side but on Tuesday he took that a step further.

Patel appeared in front of the hearing over the administration’s handling of Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, among other matters. And he did it sporting a red and white tie with ‘s crest in the middle of it.

Back in late April, Patel tweeted his support for Arne Slot’s side as they were crowned champions. He has also been photographed on two other occasions wearing another Reds tie, once when visiting lawmakers on Capitol Hill last December and then again in early April.

The Liverpool tie that Patel wore at the US Senate hearing has thin stripes and a more prominent logo, known as the ‘Heritage Tie’, which is selling in the club’s shop for £15. Previously, he has worn ties with thicker stripes.

Patel may have an eye on the Premier League giants when they host in the on Wednesday night. Liverpool return to Premier League action on Saturday when they host in the Merseyside .
