The 27-year-oldswapped United for Barcelona on loan for the 2025-26 season, and since then, he has been settling in with his new team. After several weeks getting to know his new team-mates, Rashford has now declared that Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong is Barca’s most underrated player.
The former Aston Villa loanee told Sport: “It’s difficult, everyone is very good. But for what he does for the team I think Frenkie [De Jong]. It’s difficult; everyone is very good. But for what he does for the team, I think Frenkie.”
In a team full of superstars such as Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal, players like De Jong help Barcelona tick, something manager Hansi Flick really values. Meanwhile, Rashford will be focusing on becoming a more prominent player at the Blaugrana after some substitute outings so far.
England international Rashford will hope to feature for Barcelona, perhaps alongside Dutchman De Jong, on Saturday in their next La Liga match against Levante. The Catalan outfit round off the month away to Rayo Vallecano on August 31.
