Manchester confirmed Onana’s departure on Thursday evening, with the 29-year-old moving to Trabzonspor on loan for the 2025-26 season. He was dropped by Amorim in favour of Altay Bayindir before slipping further down the order following United’s £18.2 million capture of Lammens. With limited opportunities on the horizon, Onana chose to continue his career in Turkey and has opened up on the move upon landing in Turkey to sign his new contract.
