According to the Manchester Evening News the Danish forward faced an uphill battle in the dressing room after he switched representatives and joined Erik ten Hag’s SEG agency. This was a month or so before he had even joined in the summer of 2023, during which time there were concerns over the influence of SEG on , and so Hojlund had already ‘marked his card’ with some of his new team-mates.

Some team-mates are not happy with his performances on the pitch since, as his work rate and lack of aerial prowess have come into question.
