- Teenager has made international bow for Portugal
- Remains part of Al-Nassr’s academy system
- Could line up alongside famous dad at some point
Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo senior is currently enjoying a summer break on the back of captaining his country to UEFA Nations League glory. He has also extended his contract at Al-Nassr for another two years.
Said deal, which has seen record-shattering terms agreed, will take CR7 beyond his 42nd birthday. He has previously stated a desire to play alongside his oldest son at some stage – with Junior gracing the academy ranks at Al-Nassr.
He has also made his international bow at U15 level, having seemingly committed to Portugal, and continues to head down a path that sees him attempting to follow in the most illustrious of footsteps.
Ronaldo Jr is working hard while his GOAT father relaxes, with the talented teenager heading to the Algarve for a training session. Portimonense welcomed him on board, with the club posting on social media: “Proud to receive the one who bears the name… and the legacy. Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. performed a training session at our stadium today.”
If Ronaldo Jr develops as hoped, then a senior breakthrough in the next two years – particularly at club level in the Saudi Pro League – should not be ruled out. He needs to earn his own professional contract along the way.
