Detroit City FC unveiled renderings of their future stadium, showcasing a modern 15,000-seat venue for the USL Championship team to be constructed at the corner of Michigan Avenue and 20th Street in Southwest Detroit.
The images revealed a sleek, soccer-specific design with steep seating sections. The announcement came with news that the facility will be named AlumniFi Field through an extended partnership with the digital banking brand.
“We are working every day to build a home worthy of Detroit,” club co-founder Sean Mann said, according to the Detroit Free Press.
As Detroit’s only privately owned and financed professional sports stadium, AlumniFi Field symbolizes the club’s ambition to establish itself as a permanent fixture.
Detroit City FC will begin accepting season ticket deposits for the inaugural 2027 season at AlumniFi Field starting Aug. 26, with construction scheduled to commence in late 2025, pending final public approvals.
