- Al-Nassr beat Rio Ave 4-0 in friendly
- Ronaldo scores a hat-trick in the win
- Felix grabs first assist in Al-Nassr shirt
Mohamed Simakan opened the scoring for Al-Nassr in the 15th minute in the friendly against Rio Ave; however, as usual, it was Ronaldo who stole the headlines with a superb hat-trick. The 40-year-old scored his first goal of the night after a spectacular one-two with his Portugal team-mate and the Saudi Arabian club’s newest signing, Felix.
Ronaldo’s second on the night came on the back of a Sadio Mane’s horror penalty, which was saved by Cezary Miszta, before the failed clearance by Rio Ave ended up in an attack for Al-Nassr, and the 40-year-old scored a towering header from Wesley‘s cross. The five-time Ballon d’Or then capped his showing off with a penalty in the 68th minute before he was subbed off.
Al-Nassr and Ronaldo will now have only one more friendly before the start of the Saudi Pro League season. They take on Spanish side Almeria on August 10, before beginning their domestic campaign with a Saudi Super Cup semi-final against Al-Ittihad on August 19.
