The Super Bowl-winning quarterback expressed enthusiasm about Son’s arrival. He wasn’t the only one, as six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams joined in welcoming the soccer superstar, as well.
“What’s up, Sonny?” Stafford said in a social media post. “Welcome to Los Angeles, man. Hope to see you at Sofi for a game soon.”
Son’s arrival represents a significant milestone for both LAFC and MLS, bringing unprecedented star power from the Premier League to North American soccer.
Son will continue adjusting to Major League Soccer after making his debut against Chicago Fire with his home debut at BMO Stadium scheduled for Aug. 31 against San Diego FC.
