Football General Manager
- Hammers fan walked daughter down the aisle
- Delivered humorous speech to guests
- Can see funny side of infamous terrace song
Football Factory and EastEnders actor Danny walked Dani down the aisle as she married Hammers captain Jarrod Bowen. The happy couple tied the knot in front of family and friends before enjoying a short honeymoon in Italy.
Danny was always going to be a lively presence at a lavish ceremony that saw Dani wed West Ham star Bowen – with the passionate Hammers supporter having referred to the England international forward as “the man of my dreams”.
Dyer made a point of keeping his speech as “light” as possible, but made sure to throw in a few laughs. He also encouraged those in attendance to join him in a slightly tweaked rendition of the infamous terrace chant from east London that features his daughter.
Dyer told The Telegraph of taking the microphone on Dani’s big day: “I wanted to keep it light. So I said: ‘Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, today’s not about me, it’s about this wonderful couple.’ Then I go under the table and bring out my Bafta. I thought: ‘Oh my God, is this narcissistic?’ But the cheer it got… I needed to make people laugh, so that’s what I did. n
“The speech was written for me really, because I alluded to me being more in love with him than her. Then I got us all to stand up and sing ‘Bowen’s on fire and he’s married Dani Dyer’. So yeah, it’s been an amazing start to the year. Big milestones, you know what I mean?”
Bowen is back in pre-season training with West Ham ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League campaign, while ex-Love Island contestant Dani is seeing a return to reality TV speculated as deals with Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins and Strictly Come Dancing are mooted.
