- Osimhen’s move to Galatasaray unblocks Morata’s transfer to Como
- Turkish side expected to approve AC Milan‘s termination of loan
- Striker set to sign with Como until 2028, pending final medical
Morata’s proposed transfer to Como is set to move forward as Galatasaray are close to finalising Osimhen’s move from Napoli, according to Sky. With Osimhen’s €75 million (£64m/$82m) deal in its final stages, Galatasaray are expected to give Milan the definitive green light to terminate Morata’s loan. Como have already reached an agreement with Morata, and the only hurdle remains formal approval from Galatasaray.
Morata, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Milan until January 2026, has made it clear he wants a new challenge and has agreed terms with Serie A side Como. The domino effect of Osimhen’s transfer to Galatasaray is crucial, as it enables Morata’s early exit from his loan. Galatasaray no longer require Morata, freeing up the pathway for his move to Italy. Como view Morata as a marquee signing as they look to build on last season’s 10th-place finish in Serie A.
Morata played 25 games for AC Milan last season before he was loaned to the Turkish giants. At Galatasaray, he made 16 appearances, scoring seven goals and tallying three assists. The agreement with Como runs until 2028, with an option to extend by another year.
With all parties close to agreement, Morata is expected to undergo medicals and finalise his contract with Como in the coming days. Morata’s immediate focus will be integrating into the team ahead of the Serie A campaign, aiming for strong performances to secure his place for Spain in upcoming international tournaments.
