- Antony primed for Man Utd exit
- Eyes Real Betis switch
- Rejects move to Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr
According to Sport, Al-Nassr have expressed interest in signing the United man but Antony is ‘refusing to listen’ to a lucrative approach from the Saudi Pro League side. The 25-year-old, who played alongside Ronaldo at Old Trafford in 2022, has already rejected offers from Brazilian teams Botafogo and Sao Paulo, as his ideal move becomes clear.
The report adds that the former Ajax man is ‘unwilling’ to join any other club other than Real Betis, where he enjoyed a hugely fruitful loan spell in the second half of last season, and will even accept a pay cut. However, it is up in the air whether or not the Spanish outfit will be able to afford his £30 million ($40m) price tag.
Antony, who scored nine goals and added five assists in 26 appearances for Betis as they finished sixth in La Liga and reached the Conference League final, could yet be reintegrated into Amorim’s first-team squad if United are unable to sell him this summer.
The winger is said to be prepared to wait until the last couple of weeks of the transfer window as he hopes that Betis and United can come to an accord over a fee for him. Betis have been keen on another loan but the Red Devils want a permanent sale.
