Saudi Arabian club Neom have pulled out of the race for Granit Xhaka, leaving Sunderland and Fenerbahce as the midfielder’s only concrete options.

Neom have withdrawn from the race to sign Xhaka as ‘s asking price exceeds the €8 million (£7m/$9.2m) they are prepared to pay, according to Sacha Tavolieri. The Swiss midfielder had already agreed personal terms with the club and was set to earn a salary of €10m (£9m/$12m).
