- Nkunku wanted by Bayern
- Chelsea eyeing Simons and Garnacho
- Blues kick off season this weekend
PerFabrizio Romano, Chelsea are continuing to pursue a double deal to signSimons and Garnacho from RB Leipzig and Manchester United respectively but they need to sell players first. Christopher Nkunku is in talks with Bayern Munich over a summer move, while the club also want to move Nicolas Jackson out of the club to free up squad space for the duo. They have thus far failed to receive any bids for the striker, who has been linked with Newcastle.
Chelsea have made significant moves in the transfer window this summer, signing Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Jorrel Hato, and Joao Pedro, and are searching for further attacking reinforcements. Nevertheless, dominoes need to fall for the deals to happen.
The Blues start their season this weekend, against Crystal Palace, but their pursuits of Simons and Garnacho are likely to drag until the end of the transfer window, given the lack of movement over Jackson’s future, and the ongoing Nkunku talks.
Chelsea face a trio of London derbies to start their campaign; they face Palace, then play West Ham and Fulham.
