The States international is ready to return to France after two years in Turin. He has previously represented and in Ligue 1, while also spending time on loan at Scottish giants Celtic in 2019.

A new challenge is being sought after failing to nail down a starting berth at Juve. They have been open to offers across the summer transfer window, with an opportunity to join in the being passed up at one stage.

Weah is said to have made it clear that his preference was always to retrace steps to French football. The 25-year-old is about to get his wish as Marseille have an offer on the table that is considered acceptable by all concerned.

A €15 million (£13m/$17m) deal will see Weah link up with former forward Mason Greenwood at Stade Velodrome. He will sever ties with Juventus after taking in 78 appearances for the heavyweights.
