Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Smith on a long-term contract from Liverpool. The deal, reported to be worth £1 million, marks a world-record transfer fee in women’s football. The Gunners have also confirmed that Smith will wear the No.15 shirt for Renee Slegers’ side, with the transfer pending final regulatory clearance.

Speaking to Arsenal’s club media, Smith said: “It’s a privilege and an honour to sign for Arsenal.
