Garnacho’s probable move to Chelsea has hit a snag due to a standoff between two agencies. According to the Manchester Evening News Pini Zahavi’s Gol International agency got in touch with the Argentine’s representatives, Carlos Cambeiro and Enrique de Lucas, who run the agency Leaders, as they wanted to facilitate a move. Zahavi, who represents Chelsea outcast Christopher Nkunku, was pushing for a swap deal where the Blues would include the Frenchman to sign Garnacho; however, United were not keen on signing the French forward.

It’s quite common in football that high-profile intermediaries often become involved in negotiations to facilitate a transfer if representatives are inexperienced. Cambeiro has represented Garnacho since his move to United in 2020 and has reportedly refused assistance from Zahavi’s organisation.

The star is one of the four players that the Red Devils are planning to offload this summer. Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and are also likely to exit Old Trafford after being deemed surpluses to Ruben Amorim’s needs.
