Victor is set to join Braga for a fee of €15 million (£10m/$18m) including bonuses, according to The Athletic. The forward joins the exodus of talent from , following Ansu Fati, Pablo Torre, and Alex Valle, as the club looks to raise much needed funds.

Victor was signed permanently from Girona in 2024, but both he and Dani Olmo were initially denied La Liga registration due to Barcelona’s financial irregularities. The club appealed to the Sports Council (CSD), which ultimately granted them permission to play for the rest of the season. The registration issues were also a key factor behind Nico Williams’ decision not to join Barcelona.

One of the key decisions that forced Victor to leave Barcelona is the imminent signing of Marcus Rashford from Manchester on loan. Opportunities were already going to be rare with Lewandowski and Torres already ahead of him.

The 23-year-old will be disappointed not to play more at his dream club Barcelona but a move to Braga could be a fresh start for his career. Meanwhile, Barcelona will be keen to re-invest the funds received from Victor’s sale into other areas of need.
