Arsenal have already agreed on a £64 million (€73.8m/$86.3m) deal for the 27-year-old, and now the last pieces of the puzzle are coming together. The Gunners have, arguably, been in desperate need of an out-and-out number nine, and now they are seemingly set to sign this prolific striker in a statement signing.
Since swapping Coventry City for Sporting in the summer of 2023, the former Brighton man has scored a remarkable 97 goals in 102 appearances for the Portuguese giants. In that time, the ex-Swansea City loanee has won two Primeira Liga titles and one Taca de Portugal.
It seems just a matter of time before Gyokeres, who is reportedly set to sign a five-year deal at the Emirates, will be unveiled as an Arsenal player. He could make his full debut for the club in their Premier League season opener against Manchester United at Old Trafford on August 17.
