- Contract row over alleged talks with Audi
Spurs had already begun legal action against Ineos – owned by Manchester متحد part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe over allegations of a breach of contract.
The north London club launched legal action in June over an alleged missed payment of £5m ($6.7m) relating to the Grenadier official 4×4 partner deal.
INEOS now claim that Spurs entered sponsorship talks with car manufacturing Audi which were, at the time, exclusive to Ratcliffe’s firm, per the Telegraph.
The claims are being heard at the High Court and contain detail on the both side’s defence and how INEOS allegations are linked to Harry Kane.
Kane left Tottenham in August 2023 and papers filed at court claim Spurs ‘negotiations related to a proposed transfer of the club’s player Kane (‘Mr Kane’) to the German club FC بايرن ميونيخ (‘Bayern Munich’).’
INEOS said: “The particulars of claim make no mention of a highly significant series of events by which the club, unbeknown to Ineos, started negotiating with a major competitor to Ineos with the intention of granting rights to that competitor which were exclusive to Ineos under the agreement.”
Tottenham have a daunting trip to مانشستر سيتي in the early kick-off on Saturday. Both teams made winning starts to the season, butPep Guardiola has lost nine games against Spurs in his managerial career, only losing more against ليفربول (10).
