Chilwell has joined ستراسبورغ on a permanent deal after Chelsea decided to part ways with the إنجلترا international. The 28-year-old has penned a two-year contract with the French club, who are also owned by BlueCo. His move comes after a failed loan spell at كريستال بالاس and amid reduced opportunities under Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge.
On Instagram, Chilwell wrote: “Chelsea fans, firstly, thank you! We won the دوري أبطال أوروبا together, made a bond like I’d never have imagined and I met brothers for life on and off the pitch here. You helped me through the tough times, injuries, and personal life, and gave me the best moments of my life. I’ll never be able to thank you guys enough, looking forward to showing everyone my best. Chilwell leaves Stamford Bridge having collected Champions League, UEFA كأس السوبر والنادي كأس العالم trophies during his time at the club. However, injuries and tactical shifts under successive managers saw him lose his place to Marc Cucurella. Chelsea’s decision to sign Jorrel Hato this summer confirmed that the England international was surplus to requirements for Maresca heading into the 2025-26 season.
