وفق صحيفة الغارديان West Ham were earlier looking to sign Portuguese midfielder Mateus Fernandes from but their pursuit of the 21-year-old has hit a roadblock as the Saints are unwilling to let the youngster leave, as they aim to return to the top division this season. Quinten Timber has won five caps for the and has played for Feyenoord since 2022. His brother has been at since 2023 and has battled back from an ACL injury to become a first-team regular under Mikel Arteta.
