- Forest set to appoint Postecoglou
- Sacked Nuno on Tuesday morning
- Ex-Spurs boss returns to الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز
وفق الرياضي Forest are expected to announce Postecoglou’s arrival as their new manager in the next 24 hours. The Australian head coach will arrive at the City Ground with several of his former backroom staff from توتنهام.
Forest were said to be looking at several managerial candidates, including متحد States Men’s national team manager Mauricio Pochettino, who previously worked in the Premier League at تشيلسي, Tottenham and ساوثهامبتون. Andoni Iraola, ماركو سيلفا and Oliver Glasner were also in the frame, but Forest have ultimately settled on Postecoglou as Nuno’s successor.
Postecoglou ended Spurs’ 17-year-long wait for silverware after masterminding their 1-0 victory over مانشستر يونايتد in the 2025 الدوري الأوروبي final and secured a دوري أبطال أوروبا slot for the new season. However, the Australian was dismissed as punishment for Tottenham’s 17th-place finish in the Premier League, with Thomas Frank drafted in to take his place.
Postecoglou’s first match in charge of Forest will be a blockbuster visit to Emirates Stadium this Saturday, as they take on أرسنال in the Premier League.
