- Sullivan set to fly to England this week
- Will partake in Man City training camp
- 15-year-old set to join club upon age 18
Cavan Sullivan is reportedly set to travel to England this week to participate in a training camp with مانشستر سيتي, according to Fabrizio Romano. Sullivan, 15, signed the largest homegrown deal in MLS history last summer, while becoming the youngest player to debut in MLS.
His contract with the Philadelphia Union includes a clause that, upon turning 18, he will sign for City in the English الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز. These will be crucial first steps for Sullivan with the Premier League team.
Sullivan is one of the most highly-rated prospects U.S. Soccer has ever produced. He recently earned his first start in الدوري الأمريكي لكرة القدم for the Union, and at the NEXT PRO level, is coming off of a performance in which he scored a brace and a penalty kick in a shootout.
He’s also earned two starts in the U.S. Open Cup this season, including a match in which he played 120 minutes for the Union in a crucial cup victory.
At just 15, he has high aspirations. Ahead of the 2025 MLS campaign, he told بالجم that he wants to be “the best player in the world.”
Sullivan’s older brother, Quinn, 21, was called up to the USMNT for the CONCACAF Gold Cup this summer. He also plays for the Union, and at the Gold Cup, made one appearance in a start and win over Haiti.
City will welcome Sullivan to training camp this week. The U.S. youth international will formally join the club in the summer of 2027.
