السابق-أرسنال star and Coman’s compatriot Sylvian Wiltord is totally on the Frenchman’s side after he decided to join Al-Nassr in a lucrative move earlier this summer. Coman’s decision to leave بايرن ميونيخ and move to a lesser-established league such as الدوري السعودي للمحترفين raised eyebrows in his country, but Wiltord understands why the player made the decision and stated that he “might have never gotten a second chance” to bag a big-money move again.
Coman won the الدوري الألماني title with Bayern in nine of the 10 seasons he spent at the Allianz Arena following his move from يوفنتوس. Now, he will be gearing up for a new experience at Al-Nassr, who signed him for under €30 million (£26m/$35m) on a deal until 2028. He will line up in attack with Cristiano رونالدو, which has surely excited Al-Nassr fans. This came after widespread rumours that Arsenal wanted to acquire the former PSG winger’s signature, not to mention the links with فنربخشة.
On the flip side, though, the notion has been that Coman, who turned 29 in June, left Europe earlier than many expected. In fact, there were reports that Bayern were considering blocking his sale to Al-Nassr. What’s more, head coach Vincent Kompany was eager to avoid losing Coman as he considered him an integral part of his plans for the 2025-26 season.

“The Saudi Arabian league has become more competitive year after year. You just have to look at all the famous names. It’s incredible, especially considering that even young, talented players are now earning their money there. Per reports from Florian Plettenberg, Coman may earn up to €25m (£22m/$29m) net per year. He will be starting in his first competitive game for Al-Nassr when they take on Al-Ittihad in the Saudi كأس السوبر semi-final on Tuesday.
