Rowe and Rabiot got involved in a serious fight in the dressing room following the loss at Rennes. The duo continued to hurl abuses and threats at each other despite the club representatives trying to calm them down. This act of indiscipline has irked the club, which prompted De Zerbing to ban them from his first team squad, according to RMC Sport.

The report adds that Marseille resumed training on Monday, although Rowe and Rabiot were forbidden from joining them. The suspension, however, could last for a short period of time as the club are also thinking of asking the two players to donate to the Marseille foundation as punishment.

Mason Greenwood and his team-mates got off to a nightmare start to the new season as they dropped three important points against a side, who were reduced to 10 men just past the half hour mark.

De Zerbi’s side will be back in action on August 23 as they host newly promoted in an important clash.
