Harry Maguire has a decision to make following news two Saudi Arabian clubs want to sign him. The Premier League transfer window is shut, but the Saudi Pro League window remains open until September 23rd. The England defender would consider a move, but only at the end of the season, according to The Sun.
Man United have already knocked back offers from Premier League clubs and from Italy this summer and are aware they could lose Maguire for free as he’s in the final year of his contract, and allowed to speak to other clubs from January. His last deal ended in the summer, but United took the option of adding an extra year.
The deal for Maguire to join Manchester United from Leicester in 2019 was a then-world record fee of £80 million ($107m). He was made club captain in 2020 until he was replaced by Bruno Fernandes in 2023.
Maguire is open to a move next summer, which is a crucial detail. He is unlikely to sanction a move in the season leading up to what could be his final appearance at the World Cup. Maguire will be 37 by the time the next tournament comes round in Morocco, Portugal and Spain.
