- City quartet could leave
- None picked for Spurs game
- Transfer exits on the cards
For City’s home clash with Spurs on Saturday, Ilkay Gundogan and Manuel Akanji were not in the matchday squad amid links with an Etihad exit. Ederson was on the bench again as City discuss selling him to Galatasaray, while Tottenham target Savinho is still out injured.
Earlier this year, Guardiola threatened to leave City if his squad got too big. After making a host of January and summer signings, the former Barcelona boss appears to be fine with letting some fringe players leave the club this month.
Savinho, who could be the subject of an €80 million (£69m) offerfrom Spurs, joined City from Troyes last year but it seems he could be surplus to requirements for the new season. He scored three goals and added 13 assists in 48 games last term.
The summer transfer window shuts on September 1, so there is still plenty of time for Savinho, Ederson, Akanji, and Gundogan to find new clubs. Incidentally, if the Brazilian goalkeeper goes, that could pave the way for City to move for Paris Saint-Germain‘s Gianluigi Donnarumma.
