- Hojlund could appear against Grimsby
- Napoli transfer is taking time to get completed
- Hojlund was left out of the first two matchday squads
Hojlund, who is part of Amorim’s ‘bomb squad’ at United, was left out of their matchday squads for their first two Premier League matches of the new season against Arsenal and Fulham, respectively. The Danish forward fell out of favour at Old Trafford this summer, which prompted him to consider a move away from the Red Devils.
Napoli are closing in on signing Hojlund for an initial season-long deal with a mandatory option to buy for £39 million ($52m). Despite uncertainty over his future, Amorim dropped a hint that the 22-year-old could feature in the starting lineup against Grimsby Town.
Speaking to reporters, the United boss said: “All the players are available. Then we will make the choice to try to get the best starting XI to win the game. We have three games this week. We have quality players and we have to rotate to try to win every game.”
After travelling to Grimsby in midweek, United will then host Burnley in a Premier League clash at Old Trafford on August 30.
