Gavi and Lopez are two of the most promising talents who have emerged from Barcelona’s youth system in recent times and are an integral part of Hansi Flick’s squad. The duo used to be very close since their childhood days at La Masia. However, per latest reports, the duo are at odds due to their girlfriends.

Gavi and Lopez’s girlfriends, Anay Pelayo and Berta Gallardo respectively, reportedly do not get along, which has created a rift between the childhood friends. In fact, Gavi, who celebrated his 21st birthday on August 5, did not receive a message from Lopez following a disagreement between their partners, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Lopez recently shared a post on social media, before swiftly deleting it, which read: “The bad guys never win, neither those who look the other way, nor those who make betrayal their lifestyle and cowardice their motto. It’s only a matter of time. They lose every day because the makeup they put on every morning, sooner or later, wears off and they end up revealing themselves to the world for who they really are.”

After a successful tour of Asia, where the Blaugrana won all of their pre-season friendly matches, they will now take on Cesc Fabregas’ in the Joan Gamper Trophy on Sunday.
