The Bundesliga side have confirmed the signing of Vazquez from Real Madrid, with the Spain international penning a contract until 2027. The right-back reportedly underwent a medical in secret ahead of his free transfer and the deal has now been confirmed.
Vazquez made 402 appearances for Real Madrid in total and won everything there was to win in Spain, including five Champions League trophies. and four La Liga titles. Now, he will aim to bring his wealth of experience to bear in Germany as Erik ten Hag reshapes his Leverkusen squad.
Vazquez may be one of the most decorated players of his generation but he only won nine Spain caps in total.
Leverkusen opened their season with a 2-1 loss to Hoffenheim. They face Werder Bremen this weekend and Vazquez could make his debut.
