- Fulham and PSV have concrete interest in Kusi-Asare
- Striker was thought as Harry Kane’s backup
- Bayern could be open to loan deal
Initially thought as a backup option for Harry Kane at Bayern, 18-year-old Kusi-Asare might be on the move. Bayern do not intend to let the striker go and want to extend his contract. However, concrete interest from the Premier League and Eredivisie might compel them to sell the talented striker, Sky reports. Clubs have already started talks, and the Bavarians could be open to a loan deal as well.
The interest in Kusi-Asare is not new. PSV have been monitoring him for quite some time. Other clubs like Slavia Prague and Werder Bremen were also among the interested parties. The player’s entourage and Bayern were also exploring the market. Having joined Bayern from Swedish outfit AIK in 2024, he initially represented their U-19 and reserve sides. In this tenure, he accumulated two appearances in the Bundesliga, one in April against Mainz and the other in this season’s opener against RB Leipzig.
Kusi-Asare is a member of the Swedish U-21 side, having represented them on four occasions until now. However, he is also eligible to play for Finland.
The transfer window ends on Monday evening and the interested clubs have to work rapidly to ensure the 18-year-old represents their club this season.
