Marcus Rashford has arrived in Barcelona ahead of completing a season-long loan move to the Spanish champions from Manchester United. The Catalan giants, who are in search of a new left winger, agreed to sign the attacker temporarily but with an option to make the transfer permanent next season.

The BBC reports that Rashford has touched down in Barcelona via private jet before formally putting pen to paper on the Catalan club’s contract. Talks of a loan move between and Barca progressed swiftly last week after Flick gave the transfer the green light.

This will be Rashford’s second consecutive loan spell after he spent the second half of the 2024-25 campaign at . Barcelona has always been the winger’s preferred destination ever since he lost his place at United and fell out of favour under manager Ruben Amorim.

Barca boss Flick has reportedly decided to play Rashford on the left side of his attack, despite his ability to operate as a striker, according to Sport. Flick has Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres in the central role, which means that the United outcast will predominantly operate from the left flank unless required.

Rashford could inherit the number of Lamine Yamal or Thierry Henry once he signs the dotted lines at Barcelona. The Spanish league winners have already confirmed that Yamal will take the iconic No.10 shirt.
