- Forest’s £26 million bid accepted by Rennes
- Kalimuendo has agreed personal terms
- English side also interested in Musah
According to L’Equipe Forest had agreed personal terms with Kalimuendo before finalising a £26m ($35m) deal with Rennes, where he was contracted until 2027.
Forest are having a restructure in attack to build on last season’s seventh place finish. Having signed Dan Ndoye from Bologna and secured Morgan-Gibbs White to a contract extension, the English club are planning to add more firepower in attack. Kalimuendo scored 17 goals and provided three assists for Rennes as they finished 12th in Ligue 1 last season.
Forest are also adding depth in midiefield and their latest target is USMNT midfielder Yunus Musah. They are also interested in Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz.
With Kalimuendo’s impending arrival at Forest, the English club will hope to integrate the French striker quickly into the starting XI.
